My first instinct is to say, “No! Never leave me!” Followed immediately by great gratitude for all the work we’ve done together. Whoever gets to work with you next is one lucky writer.

LOL, and there I went out of my way to preserve your privacy and not shout your name from the rooftops :) I'm so thrilled for you and proud of you, and it doesn't matter that the coaching stops here because the friendship will last for a loooong time. You're not getting rid of me that easily ♥️ Can't wait to see your book in readers' hands!

I hope you will share with us the name of the novel once it's done. You've done quite a set-up. I'm always interested in the fact that you often hear about agents and then editors at the publisher "helping" the author rewrite their book. It would be interesting to see if that happens in this case. But it sounds like the two of you have covered everything that needed addressed. That author must be floating.

Thank you, Maggie--I for sure will be sharing the title of this book once it's on its way to publication.

It is true that agents and editors in the publishing houses will often ask for substantial revisions, which always surprises me for two reasons. One, because we all know how 'perfect' the book must be to even get to that stage, and two, because I see a lot of published books that could use a good editing. It's totally confusing. But that's publishing, I guess.
